The Apparent Immaturity of President Donald Trump

When it comes to his agenda, Trump is steering the country in a better direction than it might otherwise be. However, it's not enough—we're still headed toward a debt crisis. I hope that more progress can be made.

That said, I'm troubled by Trump's bizarre statements. He showed a complete lack of class in his comments about Elon Musk, and Musk wasn't much better. My response to Musk would have been to acknowledge his efforts while politely disagreeing. It seems like these two have had simmering hard feelings for months.

Trump also threatened to cut government funding for Musk in response to Musk's statements. Threatening government action to suppress free speech borders on an impeachable offense. At this point, we might be better off with JD Vance.

Many people viewed President Biden's infirmity as a running joke. I fear that Trump's behavior could end up being seen the same way.
